Branded Logos

  1. In jurisdictions where local regulations apply governing the display of sponsor logos on players (including but not limited to symbols, trademarks and websites), all players agree to be subject to and comply fully with said regulations.
  2. Players will be permitted to wear at any Event any logo(s) / branding of any gambling operator on their shirts provided that the following restrictions are accepted and implemented:
    1. One breast pocket logo no larger than 70cm squared
    2. Two upper shirt sleeve logo no larger than 25cm squared (one on each sleeve)
  3. No other branding on any part of the clothing or body will be permitted during an Event.
  4. Certain Events have specific local legal regulations with regards to branding. Please see the Event homepage for any specific legal requirements for that event or e-mail anzpt@pslive.com for full details.
  5. Subject to the other terms and conditions hereof, a player will be permitted to wear gaming logos which are not those of the headline sponsor ("PokerStars") provided that such player informs Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (GPT) Ltd what these logos are in the release form completed by the player prior to the Event as referenced in clause 24 below.
  6. Players can only be sponsored by a company, subject to clause 1 above, prior to the beginning of an Event. Any non-sponsored player, not wearing branded clothing or logo(s) at the beginning of any Event can only wear the PokerStars logo. For the avoidance of doubt the beginning of a Event shall be defined as the moment all players are first dealt their hole cards ("shuffle up and deal") on the first day of said event.
  7. As per the ANZPT Event release form and subject to clause 24 below, officially Sponsored players must ensure that the logo of their Sponsor is worn at the beginning of any Event in line with the above clauses and such Sponsored players must clearly reference their Sponsor's logo in the appropriate field on the Event waiver form, prior to the start of the Event. Any Sponsored player who does not wear their Sponsors logo before a tournament starts and then tries to subsequently wear the logo in a later stage of any tournament will need to provide written proof of their Sponsored Affiliation prior to such player being permitted to wear the logo in question.
  8. All players who choose to wear the branded logo of an approved gaming operator during the Event must abide by clause 6 above.
  9. No more than 10% of the overall entry field at any Event on the 'ANZPT' can wear the branding/logos of any single company with the exception of the headline sponsor of that event. If more than 10% of the players from any single company are wearing the branding/logos of any single company, other than PokerStars, then the players themselves or a company representative must decide which players will continue to wear the branded clothing. If no decision is made, then Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd will high card the players to make a decision.
  10. No more than 2 players on the final table of an Event can wear the branding/logos of any single company,with the exception PokerStars. If more than 2 players from any single company reach the final table then the players themselves or a company representative must decide which 2 players will continue to wear the branded clothing during the Event in question. If no decision is made then Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd will high card the players to make a decision. Any player starting the final table wearing no logos must remain as such throughout the final.
  11. Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd and the Tournament Director will have absolute discretion to approve the clothing and apparel worn by the players during the Event. They will also have the right to remove any logo(s), image(s) or word(s) on the players' clothing and apparel which, in the opinion of Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd or the Tournament Director, contravenes the requirements of the commissioning broadcaster, Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd or any regulatory body.

Branded Logos during all filming

  1. Players will be allowed to wear company logo(s)/branding on their shirts and other apparel provided that they comply with the logo(s)/branding restrictions above and abide by the following additional restrictions.
    1. One breast pocket logo no larger than 4cm x 5cm
    2. One upper shirt sleeve logo no larger than 4cm x 5cm
    3. Baseball caps and card protectors with logos will be allowed only if the logo(s) on such apparel and/or items are not visible.
  2. No other forms of company names and/or brand logo(s) are permitted on the TV Tables and during any form of filming, including but not limited to, sports and fashion brands. Any player wearing clothing or in possession of items (e.g. card protectors) in violation of this rule will not be able to participate in a televised table until said article of clothing and/ or item is replaced and/or removed. GPTL reserves the right to remove or alter player sponsor logos at their sole discretion if said logos do not comply with local regulations or broadcast standards.

Filming and Image Rights

  1. Some preliminary rounds, during the Event, and the final table of some tournaments, during the Event will be filmed for transmission by a production company and broadcast as a delayed television series and/or as a live webcast.
  2. Players competing in any Event during the ANZPT are required to permit their image to be shown on television internationally, without restriction and in all forms of media. Entry into each tournament during the Event is taken as that player giving their consent to participate in the TV coverage.
  3. Furthermore, all consents under the UK Performers Rights Protection Acts 1958 to 1972, or under similar legislation in other countries of the world in connection with the player's performance in any Event forming part of the ANZPT, and the exploitation of the player's performance at any Event during the ANZPT by any means and in all media including (but not by way of limitation) all forms of theatrical exhibition, television broadcast, internet, and video gram exploitation are hereby granted and assigned by the player to Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd and/or any related company.
  4. Any player playing in any Event during the ANZPT acknowledges to Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd that the entire copyright throughout the world in any film and/or video or other recordings of themselves taken or made during any Event at the ANZPT shall belong to Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd and/or any other related company.
  5. The player warrants to Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd that they are able to assign all such rights and give such acknowledgements.
  6. Any player in any Event during the ANZPT agrees to carry out any reasonable request by Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd during the Event to assist in publicising, televising or promoting the Event.
  7. Any player playing in any Event during the ANZPT agrees to disclose their hole cards to the hidden camera at the Final Table and any refusal to do so could lead to disqualification from the Event with no prize money being awarded and no refunds given.
  8. Players must make themselves available to attend press conferences and/or television interviews at any reasonable time during any event on the ANZPT if requested by Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd or the Tournament Director.
  9. Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd reserves the right to add or amend any Event rules, as they deem appropriate. This will be done for the benefit of the game and all contestants will be informed of such changes as and when they occur.

Event Entry and Registration

  1. You hereby acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to be Sponsored (either directly or indirectly) into an Event of the ANZPT by a third party that is an Unauthorised Satellite Operator (as defined below) nor are you entitled to wear the branded logos of any Unauthorised Satellite Operator. If Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd. determines, in its sole discretion, that you have been sponsored into an ANZPT Event by an Unauthorised Satellite Operator and/or you are wearing a branded logo or logos of an Unauthorised Satellite Operator it is entitled to require (including by instructing the Venue and/or the Tournament Director at an ANZPT Event to give effect to its determination) that you immediately remove the branded logo(s) and/or to disqualify you from the festival. You waive any claims you may otherwise have against Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd. in this regard.
  2. An "Unauthorised Satellite Operator" shall mean a third party (including, but not limited to online poker operators and offline casinos and poker rooms) which conducts tournaments which offer as a prize a free buy-in to, or registers players to, a ANZPT festival without obtaining the requisite licence in the form provided by Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd or, if such third party is a holder of such licence, is not in full compliance with the terms of such licence.

  3. A condition of entry into any Event during the ANZPT will be the completion and signing by each player of a release form detailing all the above and distributed at the individual Events by Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd and the event organisers. In the event that a player fails to complete and sign the aforementioned release form Australia New Zealand Poker Tours (GPT) Ltd may, in its sole and absolute discretion, disqualify such player at any point in the Event. If a player is disqualified from any Event, he or she, shall forfeit all entry fees and not be entitled to any Event prizes monies or any other prize consideration that he or she may otherwise have been entitled to at the point of disqualification.
  4. All players are required to register and play in all Events using their full legal name(s), and under no circumstances whatsoever will a player be allowed to play anonymously or use an alias, nickname, code name, handle and/or screen name, or any other type of misleading identifier. Further, by registering for any Event you hereby waive any and all rights to play anonymously in any jurisdiction in which such anonymous play is permitted by law.

Payouts

  1. The player must abide by the maximum cash payout rule per Event ("Maximum Cash Payout"). There may be payout restrictions that apply to certain ANZPT events. Please contact anzpt@pslive.com for details.
  2. If a player has bought into any event via the Official Sponsor of the ANZPT then they must abide by the Sponsors rules governing payouts. For further details please go to the applicable Terms and Conditions on the Official Sponsors website.

Miscellaneous

  1. GPTL reserves the right to cancel or alter any event at its sole and absolute discretion.
  2. GPTL Tournament Rules will in certain circumstances be superseded by house rules or local gaming regulations. Any changes to the rules will be posted on the Tour website and announced to the players prior to the start of the Event.
  3. Management reserves the right to refuse any person entry into any and all Events as well as the tournament area(s). Individuals who are excluded by the tournament Sponsor, Partner or Venue are not eligible for entry into any Events or the Tournament Area(s).
  4. Employees of GPTL and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, owned, operated or managed properties, contractors hired for the operation of the Event or parent companies and immediate family members of such employees are not eligible to play in any events, unless approved in advance by GPTL. Immediate Family is defined as: spouse, children and any relative or other person residing in the employee's place of residence.
  5. Prizes and entries are non-transferable. Winners are responsible for payment of any and all taxes, licenses, registrations and other fees associated with tournament prizes.
  6. The winning player is solely responsible for collecting any prize(s) won during an Event which shall either be given out by the Company at the Event or shipped to the winning player's address at player's expense, by an insured shipping service. The Company shall decide in its sole discretion the means of delivery of the prize(s) to the winning player(s). All fees and taxes due in relation to the receipt of the prize(s) are to be borne solely by the winning player(s). Upon receipt of the prize(s) at the Event or payment by prize winner(s) of the delivery fee all responsibility for such prize(s) shall rest solely with the prize winner(s) and Company shall have no further obligation towards such winning player(s) in any way whatsoever.
  7. Prior to entering and playing in the tournament, each participant must fill out the tournament waiver form. Failure to do so may subject the player to disqualification and/or refusal of entry to the tournament. If the player is disqualified from the event, they shall forfeit their entire buy-in and shall not be entitled to any tournament prize monies or any other prize consideration that he or she may have qualified for at the point of disqualification.
  8. Force Majeure – In circumstances where there is a guaranteed prize pool, such guarantee will not apply in the event where player attendance at any Event is affected as a result of acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond the reasonable control of GPTL such as acts of God, including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, windstorm or other natural disaster; war, threat of or preparation for war, terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots; voluntary or mandatory compliance with any law (including a failure to grant any licence or consent needed or any change in the law or interpretation of the law); fire, explosion or accidental damage; adverse weather conditions.
  9. No player participating in any event shall be permitted to show, display or communicate in any way, any message or content which, in PSLive’s sole discretion is, or could be construed to be political in nature (or supportive of any political cause or action), racist, obscene, derogatory, threatening in nature, a form of harassment, libelous, fraudulent, invasive of another person’s privacy, offensive, defamatory of another person, or otherwise promote, advertise or condone anything illegal or unlawful, victimises, degrades, harasses or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of any classification, including, without limitation, religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, colour, creed, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, military status or disability, constitutes, or would otherwise encourage, criminal conduct or give rise to civil liability, or which is intended for commercial purposes, including without limitation, submitting any material to solicit funds or to promote, advertise or solicit the sale of any goods or services. In relation to any dispute about this paragraph, the decision of PSLive shall be final and binding.
